one of the top pots If your new to smart pots, if you can afford these pots i recommend you get them, there are many reasons why. They drain easily, holds in moisture keeping the pot damp, which allows you to water them a little less, not that much of a difference but its still noticeable. When the roots hit the smart pot they would grow through it and start to air prune unlike regular hard pots the roots would become root bound causing it to stunt the growth of the plant. Great when you don’t want to commit to a full garden. I needed something so I could start my garden while my husband worked on the garden proper. He had big ideas that were taking longer than my plants would wait. I would suggest putting in the dirt and then watering it first. The dirt will shift and finally settle against the sides.
