Compost Starter Works Well I purchased a tumbling composter and used this compost starter to (1) establish the proper bacteria and (2) speed up the bacterial growth. Within a week, the compost mass released steam upon turning and had zero spoilage smell (no anaerobic bacteria). This is excellent progress considering the temperature has averaged 50F.

This is incredible! I received this last week and the instructions told me to layer it with greens and browns and the product. I already had a compost bin full that I add kitchen scraps and fall leaves and grass clippings at will when they are available ever since last spring. I never watered it or stirred it up until I bought a pitchfork. I was finding no complete compost. So I sprinkled some on top, stirred it up, and repeated the process until the box was empty. I went out this morning and could not believe…

This stuff surprisingly works; Obvious results in 30 days I was skeptical, but this stuff definitely works. A year ago I bought a house with a black composting bin. I cleaned it out this spring and started filling it up with yard waste; 90% grass clippings. I kept filling it up and had to cut back for a while, but it still wasn’t composting enough for me to really add any more. So I bought this stuff and followed the directions.
