Gets your compost going This product is great. It seems like it is directed towards use in compost heaps rather than the compost tumblers. Even so, it worked great in my tumbler. Within days, my compost was steaming! I’d definitely buy again.

This product works well. This product does a great job of kick starting the composting process. My cubic yard piles shoot to 125 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit within 3-4 days under the black plastic, even when the evening temperature was down to 35-40 degrees. I turn the pile when the temperature drops back down (indicating the pile is ready to turn), check the moisture of the pile, and sprinkle in a bit more of the Starter every 6-8″ layer as I rebuild the pile.
